Start with the problem

Console video, charging and game-loading issues.

01

HDMI & display

No picture, a damaged port or connection problems. The console, cable and display can all be involved.

02

Power & cooling

A console that will not start, runs hot or shuts down. We assess power and cooling-related faults.

03

Disc drives & controls

Disc-reading or controller problems. Ask which services are available for your console and accessories.

Details that change the repair

Different systems need different checks.

Call with the exact model to confirm service and parts availability.

01

Xbox One & Xbox Series models

Give the exact One, One S, One X, Series S or Series X model. Tell us whether the fault is no picture, shutdown during a game or a disc problem on a unit with a drive. Port, power and drive parts are not universal.

02

Nintendo Switch, OLED & Lite

Separate handheld-screen or charging faults from dock-to-TV faults. Switch Lite does not support TV output, so that is not a repairable missing feature. Mention joystick drift, damaged USB-C connections and whether the console works off the dock.

03

PlayStation 4 & 5

Note whether you have a disc or digital console and provide the model label. A no-signal fault can involve the display setup or HDMI connection; repeated shutdowns need power and cooling checks. See the dedicated PlayStation page for more detail.

01

Console revisions and controller parts differ.

Confirm the exact console revision before a port, power component or drive is ordered. Ask separately about controller sticks, buttons or charging faults. A repair involving soldered connections needs assessment beyond checking a cable or replacing an external accessory.

02

Diagnosis, sourcing and game testing affect timing.

A repeatable fault is easier to assess than a shutdown that happens only after a long gaming session. Port work, board-level faults and special-order parts require an individual schedule. Explain when the fault appears so the estimate includes suitable post-repair testing.

A little preparation helps

Tell us which system you use.

Bring the make, model and symptoms, and mention drops, liquid exposure or previous repairs. Ask which cables or controllers to bring when you call. Parts and repair timing depend on the device and diagnosis.

Good questions. Clear answers.

Can a Switch Lite be repaired to work on a TV?

Switch Lite does not support TV output. For that model, ask about handheld display, charging or control faults. On a dockable Switch, explain whether the problem happens only while connected to the TV.

Do you repair controllers?

Contact the store with the controller model and fault to check available service.

Is it worth repairing an older console?

Compare the estimate and system condition with replacement cost. We explain the repair options before you choose.
